New Mini Sound Popping

Sounds like it's going to sleep and then when it wakes up for a sound it pops. Anyone else noticing this? I didnt have it on my 2010 model.

Pops from the speaker in the Mini itself or from the audio output?

Are you using Optical Out? When the very first sound is played through an optical out port after a long while of silence, there's usually a small, harmless "pop", that's just my experience though. Could just be a small, harmless quirk tho (for your machine).

Via the analog mini jack on the back. No optical. It's more of an annoyance.

Sound problem

I have the same issue. For a short period of time after any sound there is a hissing/popping noise.

After a while it stops, only to start on the next alert sound.

Guess this must be a firmware issue.

I take it no one else is having these issues. Guess i will have to take mine back.
