Do I REALLY need to charge the new nano for 16 hours before I use it? I'm getting impatient. Also, whats a good app for converting avi files into ipod video format?

part 1: I don't know, but from what I understand apple products come partially charged already.

part 2: visualhub is a good application.

I tought you had to charge for 3 hours...not 16!
