I've had a netscape mail account forever and just recently I've been checking it less and less because my gmail account was so much slicker. But I logged in today for the first time in a few days and it and they updated it and made it super slick! It's all java now and it loads up at least as quickly as gmail. It autoupdates so you don't have to click get mail to see new messages. You can sort your messages by sender, date received, size, etc (unlike gmail). It has built in spell check, built in FAST search, you can make folders (unlike gmail), it has a spam filter that you can adjust how strongly it filters and that you can "report spam" to. It's just amazingly clean looking and unusually intuitive which is completely the opposite of recent netscape bloatware. I'm really quite amazed.
I will probably keep using my gmail account as my primary account just because it has free pop access, but I've gotta give kudos to netscape for doing something relatively well for the first time in ages.
