I'm surprised it took them so long - what with the Prada phone out too which is pretty similar.

I love watching ads like this and seeing something that is obviously trying to copy the iphone still look stupid. Unless this thing has more memory and was far cheaper I, myself, would never buy one.

Nokia presents new phones: http://www.nseries.com/index.html?l=campaigns,entertainment#l=campaigns,entertainment,carousel

And presents Ovi, an itunes competitor: http://ovi.nokia.com/ovi/app/ovi/flash/

Sorry, not really related to the Iphone, but I thought it could be interesting to see what the competition looks like.

I love my iphone but these nokias have some pretty cool features. Watching live tv, voice over phone calls, a 3 megapixel camera with 20x zoom, viewng your videos and photos on you tv wirelessly. Like I daid i love my iphone but i hope we will get some on these features someday.

Whats funny is I just saw a banner ad for the N80 at the bottom of this page. Anybody else think it strange to have other new cell phones advertising on the iphone forum. HA HA HA:D

maybe not the best looking phone but you have to admit the features are cool

It 'out-features' my iPhone... shoots. Just give me MMS, and multiple recipient SMS and I'll shut up now...

Tried to rally a crew of a dozen or so for drinks the other night with SMS... I had to type the same ***** thing 12 times. And no copy paste.

Yeah, I want companies like Nokia and HTC to turn up the heat. It only makes Apple work faster on the updates.

EDIT - BTW, why does Nokia's website suck so bad? lame, slow flash animations, am I supposed to say "ooh, ahhh" Ovi=lame=slow flash= lame .. Don't they know I have ADD. Geez.

The problem devolps when the imitater is better then the innovater.

Nokia is no joke either, the mobile company with the largest market share is not going to let another company take a piece of the pie easily. The new touchscreen Nokia looks great, hopefully it will actually be a smartphone unlike the iPhone. Can't wait to see what Apple has next though, and Samsung's Armani phone will be interesting. Hopefully a year from now Multi-touch phones will be more common and much more practical.

Reading mac sites today is soooo funny. Shows what fanboism does to people. Congrats to whoever it was at Nokia that came up with that joke. He must be laughing his/her ass off.

That is video of a N95 (without logos) thats been controlled by Nokia's bluetooth keyboard to make it appear like iPhone, and the whole thing filmed and edited with N93. I guess they just wanted to show what you can do with Nokia's products (and get some laughs off from ranting Apple fanbois).

It's NOT a future Nokia phone. Just a joke video from Nokia's press-conference today. Check some general tech-sites for the info.

Smart phones remind me of a lot of the cutting edge doctors and financial leaders of the industry that I work with. (I am a audio/visual engineer for high end cooperate events) They are fantastic in there nitch but fall short in other areas. Take one of the formost brain surgens in the world, who will remain nameless, who can perform "miracles" in surgery but barely knows how to use his laptop. And the list goes on. In other words phones seem to be great in one area and lacking in others or pretty good all around but nothing particulary special. Like my old 8525 by Cingular.

This is very true, but the niche of smartphones is a highly functional device that does specific tasks very well. Even though I really like the iPhone, it doesn't seem to be fully realized yet, frankly I'm just not impressed besides the multi-touch which is not exclusive and the OSX base is more a novelty than something that improves functionality besides the pretty interface. It feels like the iPhone isn't anything particularly special besides branding, marketing, and interface, while also being a super hot fashion accessory. That said, it does hell of a good job doing those things ie (look @ other "fashion" phones, the iPhone is above them).

I'm glad that Nokia is continuing to release great new phones, even though they aren't appealing to me, they'll sell a hell of a lot more than the iPhone. And if the "fake" video is a fake, oh well, hopefully the realized version will be better, prettier, and even though it will be called a copycat, I hope that it will continue to spur on competition and force Apple to improve their product before the exclusive AT&T deal is up.
