NVIDIA Drivers for macOS 10.12.2 (16C67)

Installed.

Drivers are working fine except for CUDA saying it's out of date. No updates available that I've found.

I've never installed CUDA Toolkit before, only the CUDA files from: http://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html

Sorry can't help you there, as my 2011 MBP uses an ATI card. I was bored and decided to find them. Just the drivers look like they're in the toolkit, without requiring a full toolkit install.

There is also a Network installation version that may let you pick and choose instead (obviously haven't tried it): Download (381.5 KB)

So what are the advantages of using Nvidia drivers as opposed to OS X ones? I have a GT 750M.

I can confirm that the network installation allows just driver install. The main graphics web drivers from Nvidia don't install on 10.12.3 though.

Installing the network.dmg didn't change anything for me. Still showing 8.0.53. Neither did the full installer. It's like nothing was installed at all. Getting sick of this. Close to just throwing the Radeon HD 5870 back in.

Post on NVIDIA CUDA Zone forum: (post #14 makes it seem that it's probably something Apple has done again if it's also now affecting El Capitan after the Security Update)

Read the last sentence of the first paragraph. CUDA will be released in the future.

I had the same thing on my MP. I use the standard Apple Nvidia drivers for my GTX 780 card. Updated to 10.12.2 and up pops I need a CUDA update. What was weird to me was I had never had a pop up like that. I usually had to check manually. Anyway I clicked update and I still have the CUDA preference box telling me I need to update. My current version is 8.0.53. I saw the update page on Nvidia and decided waiting would be good.

I created a video today in Premier Pro CC and everything worked okay so I guess I wait for a fix to come out.

Actually I don't wee what all the fuss is about. I tried the 8.055 installation too, nothing appears to have been installed. BUT, 8.0.53 is working and working very well. Nvidia's web site is out of date. No Biggee. Everything's working. Only issue is no support for Pascal.

^^^^It only pops up at startup. For me that's not an issue, as I have other utilities opening at the same time.
