Pretty happy with the pace of these Web Driver Updates. Just keeps getting better and better...

[Recovery HD 10.12.6] # csrutil enable --without kext (keyed last month, in Sierra, when encountering erroneous display in LS:NM)

[Recovery HD 10.12.6] # csrutil enable

Only thus, could I install 378.10.10.10.15.120, and allow GateKeeper to 'Allow' such in HS.

Full-accel....

Has anyone observed if the new drivers resolve the issue of error text that appears on the grey screen during boot? I don't know for sure that the text was connected to the web drivers, but between that and a boot loop it made me nervous enough to roll back to 10.12.6.

This?

378.10.10.10.15.120, and I still get the same as I got with a Fresh Install...

"# sudo trimforce disable" was suggested as a 'solution', but with {obvious} caveats...

...no discernable (negative) result from *not* doing so.

Do they really need that many digits? Hell.

Interesting, I had not seen that thread. Disabling trim does not seem like a super idea. If the issue is affecting newer Macs than the cMP then it gives me some hope that it might eventually be addressed in an update. I think I might stay on 10.12.6 awhile longer but thanks for the info.

I have two 10.12.6 installs that are Current:

One of the main concerns I've had is the extremely-laggy UI experience on wake-from-Sleep (most of which I've attributed to the nVidia drivers in Sierra (verified with a fresh install of Sierra last week)).

Not seeing any of that in HS as of yet, which is huge.

Anyone out there using pro apps that care to summarize their experience in High Sierra and 1080 Ti or similar?

Looking for experiences, good or bad, in FCPX, Resolve or 3D apps with particles or GPU powered rendering.

I had a 1080 Ti in my 5.1 but returned if after F1 2016 crashed and I wasn’t sure about overall compatibility. I don’t game but I don’t like using parts that crashes the computer for whatever reason.

I did get great performance in Resolve and now I’m likely to need GPU power for some coming 3D work. I returned my card before High Sierra was out, so I’d like to hear about more recent experiences.

Especially helpful would be if someone has had a 1080 Ti in a cMP since Sierra. Anyone?

I would really like some input on this too.
With GTX680, the latest driver still gives me occasional black toolbar and GUI animations are still smoother with Apple's default driver but all i really care is FCPX performance.
FCPX refused to incorporate GTX980 in background rendering last time i've tried it so i would like to know if still the best nVidia GPU's for FCPX are GTX 680 and (most probably) 780?
