Looks like there's a new option in iTunes 10.1 to share videos in iPhoto to Apple TV! In iTunes, click on "Advanced > Choose Photos to Share...". From there, you can now put a checkmark by "Include videos". I haven't actually tested this out yet but if it works that would be great. If you shoot video with a iPhone 4 you should be able to just sync the videos off with iPhoto and they should automatically show up on your Apple TV with Home Sharing. Right now, you have to do the extra step of importing the videos to iTunes.

Can anyone test this?

I checked the box to share videos and hit apply. The computer processed for a while and the number of videos in my library showed up in the number of photos being shared. So, the computer is sharing the videos. However, they still do not show up on the ATV2.

I smell an ATV2 update...

Option has been in iTunes. Nothing new.

The option "choose photos photos to share..." was in the previous version of iTunes as well. Nothing new. I have been using it for the past month or so to choose which photos from my library my ATV 2 is able to access.

The option to share videos from iPhoto is new, previously we were only able to share images, and the title of this thread is "New Option to Share iPhoto Videos to New ATV in iTunes 10.1"

I have been out of town for the past few days, I went to see Brandon Flowers live on Thursday (2nd row, iPhone 4 took awesome video), and to the gdgt live event last night, and I captured a lot of great photos/video from both events and I was excited to come home and update my iTunes to enable this feature so that I can show my family, and unfortunately iTunes enables this, but the Apple TV doesn't recognize it yet. bummer.
