New owner- Question about spatial audio

Hey everyone. My goodness Spatial Auto is amazing. My question is I discovered I can watch some Apple TV + shows with the feature but how can I use it with my Apple TV. I guess I am wondering if it’s possible to start a movie on my iPhone and watch it via Apple TV on my big screen Tv but still get the spatial features. I used my pods with the Apple TV and I can’t tell a difference so I am assuming the spatial doesn’t work! Is it just an iOS/iPadOS feature? Thanks

It doesn’t seem to be enabled on the Apple TV, for some incomprehensible reason. A couple times I started playing something on my iPhone and Apple TV at the same time and synced them up so I could get the spatial audio sound while watching on the big screen. It’s a real pain though.

Yes, you just need a lightening AV adapter to plug your phone into the TV. The video will play on the TV. Then you can connect wirelessly to your AirPods and enjoy spatial audio. I've got a video explaining this

I could not tell from the video but if you use that method do you lose DV or HDR?
