The Tungsten C joins Palm's business product line and, for the first time, brings wireless 802.11b-based connectivity to the Palm family of devices, allowing it to connect to so-called hot spots and share network resources. Hot spots are public places that give people wireless access. The Zire 71 is the latest addition to the Zire consumer line and is the first device from Palm to have a built-in digital camera.

What are your thoughts on it? How's MP3 playback?

The screen is great!! It is even on par with the Sony NZ90 that I just sold. It is a very nice little pda, for 299 it will sell a bunch. The mp3 playback is very good quality (w/headphones), but it is not super loud. It is loud enogh for me, but some are complaining. Oh well, you cannot please everyone.

The T|C screen is pretty incredible too. There's only mono sound output on it. I could find an adaptor but I have an iPod already so that's really not that important to me.

What kind of mac do you have? Have you tried to use that Kinoma video producer on the ibook and it's really slow. eventually I guess I'll try playing video on it.

I have a 17"imac 800mhz. I have not tried encoding any video yet. But, I imagine it will be slow. I miss my powermac. :(

At Kinoma.com they have a link to some video that you can try. I tried the MIB 2 clip and it looked great.

NavyIntel007,

I've been looking at getting the Tungsten C, but I have a few questions:

1. How's the battery life?
2. Is it hard to use the keypad (I have small hands and fingers, so it's probably really not a problem)?
3. Is it small enough to slip into a pocket and carry around (I haven't seen it in person)?

I really like that, navyintel. I saw it on the palm page about a month ago, and I thought that it seemed like a great PDA. how much did you pay for it?
