Supposedly in iOS10 you can search for things in the pictures, like a cat. Well, when I type cat, no cat pictures come up... and yes I have some....

Depending on how many photos you have, I imagine the indexing and analysing needed for this will take some time. To prevent wiping out your battery it probably only works when the phone is locked and on the charger too (that's certainly the case with the face recognition).

Hmm I did wonder that. Shame there is no way to tell the progress of indexing... very Apple-esque.

I've got 14,000 photos - it took a couple of nights plugged into power until it seemed to have fully completed indexing all the photos.
