New PowerMacs: Whats the plastic strip for?

See the image (which i borrowed from another thread on here). I keep noticing this plastic strip near the end of the case - It was not there on the original PowerMacs so im wondering what is it exactley?

The antennas are inside versus the little plastic prongy things that stick out of the back now...good move - more I/O ports.

On the new powermac's they intergrated the bluetooth and airport, so it all in one now.
