Not sure what the performance delta is relative to the new iMacs, but seems like it'd be a decent deal for folks looking to save a few bucks.

Yeah, our local Independant Apple Specialist store has them all discounted up to $200. If I needed one, I'd be on that deal!

Local resellers do nothing but sell the systems off at cost to even out their buying stock list.

this is how it has always been done. Your not really saving a bunch o money, your just taking the item off their hands so they break even.

With prices often discounted on new macs, the savings gap between previous gen and current gen is small. $100-$150. I wouldn't save $100 and get a previous gen.
