I figured if the iPhone Xs would sell at $900 (with the Xs Max starting at $1000), then last year's X should technically be $800 brand new (although it would simply be discontinued by Apple but stores like Best Buy would sell the older model for $100 cheaper). I thought since last year's X would then be devalued automatically by $200, $600 sounded possible to pick up a used X but now I think the market will hold at $700.

There should be deals coming up soon from carriers to clear the stock.

Few carriers are my affiliates and they emailed saying that there are iPhone promos coming, so just give it a month or so, then you’ll see the prices change.

Another thing is that the last years x will start popping up everywhere for sale again which will drive the price down.

Maybe your carrier has a discount on the X?

Mine's listed on swappa for $625. (Sim Free X, 64gb). Deals can be had.

To your point, I think $600 is more than fair. Craigslist says otherwise, but I would not be upset if I got $600 for mine (white, unlocked, 64gb in excellent condition)
