Been having a look in the system profiler and discovered some new details added in the graphics section but don't have a clue what they are.

Either way it doesn't look like I will get them anyway but just curious.

I wonder if ambient brightness is a hint that the iPad Pro's fancy colour shifting display is coming to the Mac, as the standard auto brightness is working fine but its listed as "No" in the graphics hinting that this might be a new feature.

Also EDR which I haven't a clue what that is either.

I normally keep auto brightness off, but I enabled it, reopened System Information, and the status changed to yes. This is just auto/ambient brightness which has been in OS X for years.

I do like that it shows Metal support now.

Odd because mine is also turned on, I even toggled it on and off and yet mine is still listed as off although screen does dim when sensor covered as normal. Must be a glitch on my end then.

Interested to know what the EDR stuff is about though.
