New RAM, red light & memory not visible to Mac Pro

Evening all

So I slapped the new 2x2GB OWC memory into my MP today - putting them in Riser A slot 1&2 and the stock 2x512MB into slot 1&2 on Riser B.

First time I booted I got a single red light on the 4GB riser - I took everything out and swapped the risers with the same problem. I then jiggled it all around again and the red light dissappeared.

Is this just a case of me not having seated the riser firmly enough back on the logic board or is it something I should investigate further.

There is definitely a problem. I would remove, and reseat all the RAM and both risers and try again, then call OWC if there is any inconsistency.

Jiggling should not be necessary, and the corollary is that another jiggle next week could make it bad again.

I reseated it all and it's fine now... Strange...
