I checked around in the Apple TV interface to see if I could find the just-released "Rescue Dawn", but couldn't find it in either the "All HD" or "Just Added" sections.

How long does it take for a movie to show up in the rentals (and why the heck doesn't Apple have a "New Releases" section instead of the "Just Added")?

Cant check the first part, but as for the second part, the reason behind "Just Added" as opposed to new releases is that there is a large back catalog of titles that will be added continually - so its easier to have one category that covers both. I've worked for several DVD distribution companies and all of them do it this way for marketing and sales purposes.

I wonder if this is a mistake? I tried to "click" on the movie and I received an error message. Other movies are operating normally to look at the description, price, etc.

No mistake, I downloaded the HD version last night. I think the servers were flooded with clicks on the Michael Clayton icon. I experienced the same messages.

I don't know. I don't see the link up anymore. At least not on the main screen.

Edit: Ok. I see the cover (don't know if I just missed it before) but the link is still not working.

I as a consumer wish the iTune store were more like the video store. I don't care when "Bananna's" the movie gets added, I want to see all the new releases on their own "shelf".

Back to the original question, though. Are people seeing new releases like "Rescue Dawn" and "Michael Clayton" in Apple TV in the "Just Added" section? I couldn't yesterday.

My link in ITMS is non functional, "store busy"
but it works fine on the Apple TV menu.

Seems to work now from iTunes. Was this released to DVD less then 30 days ago? I think so. That would be much sooner then Steve led us to believe at the keynote and very good news for those of us hoping to replace our trips to the movie store with AppleTV rentals.

Sorry to be a broken record, but I want to ask the question again:

Is anyone else not seeing the latest new releases in "Just Added" in Apple TV? Where exactly do I find the new stuff?

Right now it's like a treasure hunt. I found Michael Clayton on the banner at the top of the movies section on the ATV.
It was not listed in new releases or HD. I did a search for it and it didn't come up either.

I did not see it under either section last night. Looks like they are slow to update their lists, I am a little surprised that it is not more automated.

As far as how they got rescue dawn so fast I read an article that said that each studio decides when to release each movie and they are not all as committed to the waiting 30 days idea. So release dates from dvd dates will vary.

The interesting news here is that new movies are being posted pretty regularly. Yesterday I saw Michael Clayton. Today "The Assination of Jesse James" is up in HD. (I'm seeing this in itunes from work, I don't know if it is showing on AppleTV)
