Hi! Since I have a new 2560x1440 24" external monitor for my 2017 Macbook pro everything looked to small. As most of you probably know, changing the resolution in system preferences to 2048x1152 (non-HiDPI) makes everything looks blurry. I installed SwitchresX and made a custom 2048x1152 HiDPI resolution. Now everything looks perfectly sharp in the size that I like.
The problem that I'm facing is that when the 2048x1152 HiDPI resolution in SwitchresX is selected, the external monitor becomes black when I close the lid from my Macbook (or when I open it after the lid was closed during selection of the new resolution). When I open the lid again, both screens are operate normal. When I put the resolution back to standard, the external screen keeps working when closing/opening the lid.
So how can I use the 2048x1152 HiDPI resolution on my external screen without becoming black after closing or opening the lid from my Macbook?
By the way, the screen is connected with an USB-C cable. If I unplug and replug the USB-C cable after the screen becomes black, it's working again.
Thankyou!
