Hey guys it’s time for me to say goodbye to my old trusty AirPort Extreme, it’s been great for the last 9ish years but unfortunately can’t keep up with my family’s needs anymore. What would be a good router that can handle 25+ devices plus stream 4K while being cost effective?

I don’t need something that high tech , just a router for home use. I was looking at the Night hawk or the Gryphon? Preferably with parental controls.

I went with an Eero due to a house that was impossible to cover with a single router.
Just as a note. Amazon owns Eero. That’s one step removed from allowing Google to run your home network. Your every move will be monitored, data mined and used in some way or another to sell you crap.

That router has that Built-In! If you read the splash page it would have told you that plus they even have an iPhone app too!

Even a video will help you:

If you want a solid, beautiful router with Apple-like user interface, check out Amplifi gear. Extendable with mesh units if you need it too. The setup and monitoring via your phone are pretty slick.
Thanks for that. Have been looking, read Michael Kummers reviews of his home install, ordered 2 Amplifi HD's. I don’t need bleeding edge specs that are never close to being realized, I wanted a common sense approach with a “livable” system.
