I dont want to go back to IE but Im a big form person at the blizzard world of warcraft site and sometimes it comes up saying this browser isnt supported, it always worked before I updated

Well then you'll have to resort to one of your P2P apps, such as Limewire or Acquisition, and I'll let you finish that statement.

huh, I was saying I didnt want to go back to using Internet Explorer, but I might have to because the new build of Safari isnt working to well in some of the forms I post at when it used to work like a charm

What KC is referring to is finding the previous build and basicly downgrading.

The previous public build was very crash-prone for me. This one hasn't gone titsup once yet.

The previous (nonpublic) releases were very stable. I hope 77 leaks soon; I'd like to try it.

Support, or lack thereof is something you're always going to run into. I hit sites with elaborate multimedia plugins required and can't get them open in IE, Safari or Netscape. So I just figure they're not worth viewing if they haven't tested/accounted for Macs. ;)

Like Witnness.com, a site i check all the time and keep forgeting that it doesnt support Safari (or netscape for that matter)

A test of compliance,

I think it's funny how safari and opera outlined just how sad the web really is.

Some sites I have visited give me the "we do not support your Netscape browser" alert while I'm running something else, I find it odd that in many web developers minds, there are only two browsers to consider and that there is an option to eliminate one and just build for the most widely used browser. I believe that if you build it correct from the get go, it will work on every browser, but sadly some folks figure that it's too time consuming to write good html and code.

I believe its are duty, our destiny to challenge these under achieving web developers by letting them know with a short elegant email, explaining that they are presenting a site on the "world wide web" not just some single browser intranet. Send the email to "sales" instead of web master, after all they are the masters and can delete the email at their earliest convenience.

Lets clean up the web and make it a more time fulfilling adventure not a frustrating maze of meritocracy.

I belive 74 only fixed a security bug in, not sure why there'd be any bugs introduced from it.

Way ahead of you. This is my email to witness.com:

Your site does not support Netscape/Mozzila visitors. I'd like to point out that most users will not install what they may consider to be an inferior browser (Explorer) to compensate for your lack of broad support. Users who don't use Explorer, of course, have replaced it with other browsers which they obviously consider superior. It is, in some respects, an insult to them not to support their choices. You are, in effect, saying that they are not important enough to justify spending time with further web development.

Please remedy this matter.

I think it might have something to do with security, because on the site you need a serial number to login and post maybe something changed after the new update....

On better note, my girl friend switched to safari instead of IE, she plays yahoo Java games and they "arent supported for mac" IE failed to run them, but safari runs them pretty well, not the best but good.....

In a French accent......

Go away or I shall be forced to taunt you another time.

Very good I like it. You need to also put something in there though about losing views because of people not willing to switch back to the inferior browser. I know this is inferred but that isn't up gront enough you need to slap them down then piss on there head.

titsup .. nice! I'm gonna use that from now on:D

I agree 100%, if it requires Internut Exploder then forget it. IE is the first thing I drag to the trash when installing OS X. I derive great pleasure from being able to delete it.

I must be going to different sites than everyone else- I almost never get pages rendering improperly. Except M$s stupid MSN for OS X page.
