I'll keep my private version 50 but thanks anyway. :D

What's different in 50? Couldn't be that secretsince the rendering is all open source, the only closed changes are the actual interface.

Edit: It looks like this is 51, according to the apple page: Safari Update 1.0 Beta (v51) 1-10-03

Uh... ok... I grabbed the latest version, and threw out the old one.

The new version worked for about 5 mins, and now it crashed on start up. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of 0.8?

Edit:
Never mind... I found 0.8 and the same thing happened. Then I trashed my prefs and all is well again. Should have tried that first, eh?

not worth it...

It's not even worth the download at this point....flash sucks so hard in it. I'll wait for the non beta version to come out.

there was a ver 0.8? i downloaded it right after the keynote, and it says 1.0 beta 48. where did people get 0.8 from??

b51 works exactly the same for me, no crashes so far.

The version number of the initial release of Safari was 0.8. Throw your Finder window into colum view, Select Safari, then look at the version.

... How so? The only flash page I go to is homestarrunner.com... works great there.
