New Silicone Band Thinner?

So I bought a new watch, but I continued to use my band from the series 3 watch. I recently purchase a newly prodcuced silicone band and I could be wrong but it appears to be thinner (meaning it fits tighter to the wrist)? Anyone else think so? It might be my other one is old and may have stretched or something but that is a length thing, not a thickness thing.
