I think the OP meant Skylake.
Skylake initial IGPU does support HDMI 2.0 thru Thunderbolt 3 but does not support H.265 codec.
AnandTech states that:
"One of the disappointing aspects is the absence of a native HDMI 2.0 port with HDCP 2.2 support."

Why is it so hard to get anything apple oem to connect to my 4k TV at 4k 60hz. It is really bugging me. Especially with my incoming 6s+
Actually the only way I've found to edit a post title is to open the original post and then mouse over the little "gear" icon at the upper right. This will give you a menu item for Thread tools.
Almost all of the current crop of machines with exception of the Mac mini (and I think retina MacBook) will drive a 4K display at 60Hz. The issue is not connectors but the capability of the integrated graphics, which in the case of the Mac mini are from (barely) 2014 and designed for the low-end market.

Not really true. They will do 4k 60hz but apple has not released any devices with hdmi 2.0. With only a few exceptions 4k tvs do not have display ports, only hdmi 2.0.
...which brings an interesting point. Apple's site only quotes resolutions and refresh rates (we're still using "refresh rates" now that we got rid of CRTs?) over HDMI, not DisplayPort. I wonder why that is?
