New Sim for 3GS on Std. AT&T Plan?

Greetings all. I know the GoPhone Sim card swap is dead, but what about for the standard plans, i.e. the $49.99 monthly plan.

Here's the idea: Sign up online for a new AT&T Contract. The regular, unactivated phone comes in the mail. Put that unactivated Sim in the used, jailbroken (blackra1n) iPhone and then reactivate...

At all possible?
