Since they're an employee I would expect it to be an official Apple one. Looks like a nice vibrant color. The photo below is from an Apple employee on Instagram. I cut off their face for privacy. Looks like they're wearing a yellow sport band? Perhaps that's one of the new colors for spring? Unless it's a 3rd party band? Thoughts?
Yeah I'm guessing one of the new spring colors will be yellow.View attachment 617905
This photo was taken in Milan last year and was the first indication of red, orange and navy sport bands as well as the other pastel colors. Not seen in the very bottom is a turquoise colored band. I have always thought we would see the yellow colors and the turquoise color in March 2015.
I think it's sort of been an open secret that they would eventually release sport bands with colour-coordinated pins: the Charlie Rose interview on 60 Minutes plainly showed a vintage rose sport band with space black/grey pin. No attempt to hide it.Since its release, I've heard complaints about the pins not matching the watches (i.e., almost every pin is the silver color, even though there are space grey, rose gold, and gold aluminum sports watches). Recently saw some ads that show new Space Black fixtures to watchbands. Perhaps with the launch of new colors of sports bands, we will also see that they will come with different, matching pins (e.g., navy with space grey pin) as standalone accessories.
If this is all they announce at the March "event" for the Watch, it'll be really sad.
Because the Watch has been unchanged in the public eye for over 18 months, and Apple is not a watch band company, but that's what they seem to have become should this rumor be true. Apple is a technology company, so at a minimum, I'd hope they'd bump the processor if nothing else. But 18 months with an essentially unchanged feature set and specs is an eternity in the tech market, especially one as rapidly changing as the smart watch market. Why?

I could have sworn it launched less than a year ago.
You think Apple should release new Watch yearly like iPhone? That's unrealistic expectation.
The watch was demonstrated to the public in September 2014 with all the same features it launched with in April, and nothing new was added, in fact they actually released it without features the announced it would have. Now a year later, they are rumored to have nothing but new watch bands. Meanwhile the competition is coming out with updated watches every year. I think you're the one being unrealistic.
Yes, I'm sure anyone who's been on the fence about buying an Watch is going to rush right out and buy two, now that they're offering them with this yellow band. /sLast time I checked it doesn't hurt Apple so much. You're just being paranoid here.
People who's being unrealistic tends to be sad. Just saying'.
Me? I'm extremely excited by this yellow band.
