After returning my first one because it arrived the same day as the newer better ones, I received this one. I have been having problems with it waking up from sleep and having to enter the password two times on occasion after waking it up.
Lately I have also been noticing, including just now while searching this forum for a solution, that the display flickers to complete black, and then will sometimes come back on if I gently tap the wrist rests! Loose solder? I don't know, I was hoping someone here would have an answer.
Since I had them put the 160gb drive in I don't think they will take it at the local Apple store. I bought it online.
Other than those issues, no problems with the yellow screen or dead pixels. I am pissed as hell about having to send another one back, AND FULLY EXPECT THAT THE NEXT ONE WILL BE ****ED IN SOME WAY TOO! Btw, long time Apple user, so no sour grapes, just frustrated!
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm going to assume that you can get the display to flicker by just tapping the wrist rest. Is there any other way that you can make the display go to black or does it only occur on a random basis.

Either way this is definitely a return product issue. I can completely understand being frustrated over this. When they give you another unit ask them if they would be so kind as to help you go over it while you are still in the store. Generally speaking the sales staff will be more than happy to accommodate you.

Wait... is there a new version of the Samsung LED screens or did you order the previous MBP and then the new ones with the LED screens came out the day you got yours?

I'm just trying to figure out because I have one week left to determine if I'm going to swap my MBP that has an ever-so-slightly yellow Samsung screen.

In reference to your yellow screen on the Samsung I have the same screen(glossy). I thought mine had a slightly yellowish tint but very hard to tell. The computer otherwise was perfect. i found out that the room lighting had a lot to do with the perceived yellowish tint. In differing light conditions the screen seemed different. I am still not sure if there really is any yellowish tint because I didn't notice it until I read it here on the boards. :) Also I took mine to the local Apple Store and there in the lighting at the store I couldn't see anything yellowish. The Genius said the Apple Store lighting is very neutral and best for the LED screens. Don't know what to make of that. I decided to keep the otherwise "perfect" MacBook pro.
