Hmm interesting. Have threads popped up yet with users complaining about their Toshiba ones?

If you look closely, Anandtech refers to a MacRumors thread that we started here 2 months ago. That said, the Samsung drive does appear to be a nice silent upgrade for those lucky enough to get it.

Any statistics available for those who have one vs the other by any chance?

No, I meant the number of people who have one vs the the other, not the speed of the SSDs.

Not meant to boast but that article is written by me, thus the referral to the MR thread :)

Great article Hellhammer, I have the slower TS128. It bothered me when I first came across your post about the difference in speed, the day I got my machine. being I had the slower one. But in reality this machine seems super fast as is. No regrets. If OWC ever works out the sleeping problem and lower the cost of the drives by half. I would upgrade:D
