Hey Y’all, I would love some insight on 2 issues. I thank you in advance!

1. 16.6 is here and my iphone SE 2nd Generation is compatible. I read that Apple is “dropping support” for Original SE. What exactly does “dropping support” mean? Should I assume my 2nd generation SE will lose support soon also? If someday my support is dropped, Does this mean I cannot call the helpful Apple people who help me with troublesome issues?

2. I need a recommendation for a good (basic features are just fine) music app that will easily import existing downloaded music on my device. My previous music app played my voicemails when I did not expect it to creating a very awkward moment - I deleted that misbehaving app. Critical need: it must be free and function with or without internet or cellular signal.

Thank you again for any insight or direction!

Lose support refers to your device no longer receiving the next version of iOS. It will only continue to receive important security updates to your existing version of iOS for a certain period of time. For example, if your phone loses support after iOS 16, when iOS 17 is released you won't be able to update to the newer OS..

Losing support can also mean Apple will no longer repair your phone. Not even if you pay full price for the repair.
