So I went to my local Apple store with the intention of buying a case for my MacBook Pro and instead walked out with Apple TV. So I have set it up and go my netflix account all setup and have it linked up with my iTunes. So my real question is if I put a DVD in my computer can I stream it to my Apple TV? Any other hints or things like that from users would be helpful too.

You can't used the MBP as a remote drive no, but if you backup the DVD to the computer you can transcode it the Apple tv as the previous poster mentioned
