Here's my situation.

I have a Sprint contract. Went to ATT on launch day, bought iPhone, activated as NEW customer (got new phone number). The reason I did it this way was b/c if I didn't like it, I still had my Sprint phone and contract if I cancelled the ATT plan.

Well, I want to keep the iPhone, and now port over my Sprint # I've had for over 7 years. Is this possible? I sure hope ATT doesn't treat this as "adding a line" because I don't want the new number they assigned my iPhone, just want to port my Sprint # only.

Can it be done?

Just calling the porting and activation center, it will take max 20 mins...port the sprint number to the iphone..just did this with my iphone porting from verizon. no issues...

number is : 18888987685

Thanks.

I tried that tonite and they told me since my phone was already activated that I had to go to an ATT corporate store and get a new SIM card and have the store initiate the number transfer from Verizon.

Is this NOT the case with you? Was your phone already activated?
