Hi all....
I've recently got an iPad Pro....so far so good. I've downloaded about 200 wallpapers from my Google Drive that are now showing up in Files > On My iPad....but though I can open & view them, they're not showing in the Photos app! What do I need to do to get this? Thanks for any help.

While in an image, tap on the 3-line menu in the upper right to open the Share menu, and select Save Image, which saves it to Photos. Or you can long press on the photo while you're in the folder view to open a longer options menu (third photo below) and tap on the Share menu from there.

Thanks for your reply Namara. For some reason, I don't have the 3-line menu when I open one of the pics....just the Share icon and the editing icon next to it. So I tap Share > Save Image then Done, open Photos...nothing! I tried to include some screen caps to show you, but after cropping the screener and chosing Save to Photos....nothing showed up then either! Repeated it...same result

Edit: Just as I posted the reply, I noticed your sig ' When in doubt, reboot ' I thought that only applied to windows/android, lol. Well it must've got itself in a pickle somehow....after the reboot, they started to show up ;)

Rather than doing that for 200+ (which obviously you don't/shouldn't have to do....) I tried Select All > Share > Save 200 images.....nothing 😢

After you used Save Image and Save to Photos, where in Photos did you look for it? I always see mine as the last items in the Albums > Recents, and in the Photos > All Photos view.

And I apologize: the menu in the upper right was specific to a File Browser app instead of the standard Files app.

Ha, that's funny my sig helped with the issue. Maybe there's an app out there to save batches of photos into Photos on iPadOS. Until then .... unless you have a Mac, and then you can drag a whole folder directly into Photos.

Batch saving images from Files to Photos should be possible. I’ve done it for batches of less than 100.

That said, Files is just glitchy at times. Ever since iPadOS, I think it’s been the number one reason I’ve had to restart my iPad.

Hi again....thanks for all the input. Sorry for the delayed response...it was early hours of the morning over here & was starting to nod...😁

@Namara When doing the pics individually, yes, they’re in Recents, but as I said, when trying to do them all at once it didn’t work. I’ll try doing them in smaller batches as @rui no onna suggested (thanks too btw...👍)

I think the problem was being caused by the Google Photos app. After adding a few more pics (& still not showing up in Photos...) I checked to see if they were in the google app. There was a thumbnail of ONE of the pics with a spinning icon as if it was busy...it never altered/updated!

I restarted the tablet again and some appeared in Photos (but not ALL of the ones I’d selected). I went into the Google app and disabled sync, selected a load more from the Files app, and then they all appeared 🤟

I’ve left off sync in Google Photos for now and will turn on manually to refresh with any new pics I’ve taken on my Android phone. I’ve not gone the whole hog and got an iPhone as well, but after the announcement the other day about it getting more of Android‘s features, I might well be trying the IP12 when it comes out...🤔

Thanks for the help....
