Ok so I Jailbroke back when I had my 1st Gen iPhone but just JB my 3G for the reason of getting xGPS and hClipboard. I must say for just those two thing it is well worth it!!

Anyway I have been out of the loop so long I am overwhelmed so I though instead of trying to search every app and find reviews for them I though that maybe some experienced JB iPhone users could point out some quality apps.

Such as the whole copy paste is hclipboard really the best, Pros/Cons?

And other apps that have two version which are better?

And most importantly what should every JB user have on there phone?

So there are so many of apps and many with threads already but I was hoping to be able to just go to one thread to know what I should have on my phone and what I should at least try and such?

-Thanks!

There have been a bunch of threads on this, though admittedly I can't seem to find them. :)

So in short, put the apps you find useful that Apple does not offer via the App Store. personally, I use StumblerPlus, Mobile Terminal, OpenSSH, Winterboard, Backgrounder, BossPrefs and a few games not offered in the App Store. Browse the categoes in Cydia and see what peaks your interest. :)

Newbz and SSH

I'm not sure if this would be the place to ask my first question, but since it says new to the jailbreak scene--I thought it would be sufficient. I have recently decided to jailbreak my iPhone 3G and was successfully in doing so. However, I do have a question with linking up with WinSCP for my PC to my iPhone's SSH capability. Is it better to be connected via USB port? Or, is it better to have it done through WiFi?

On wifi, find the iPhone's IP address when it's connected to the router and enter that into the WinSCP settings.

You can only SSH/SCP via Wifi, however keeping it plugged into the USB port helps keep the connection alive. :)

I got it to work finally--I read up on the tutorial for the SSH/SCP usage, now I just need to learn how to change the backgrounds and stuff...if there's a step-by-step process already threaded on here, what's the name? Like, if I wanted to develop some icons as well. Thanks for all your help Apple Nation!

I'm not sure if there is, but this site helped me to understand and create custom themes. :)
