I am having trouble with sharing files on my network. I have followed all the instructions on setting up my network. I can access my Mac from my PC and can access my PC from my Mac.
I am not able to get my iTunes library to show up on my PC. I have enabled file sharing on both the Mac and PC. In iTunes it shows the status as on and no users connected. It shows this on both my Mac and PC.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Eyedoc

Go to your Security Centre on the Windows Control Panel and make sure iTunes is listed as an exception in Windows Firewall (or do the equivalent in the other specific software firewall product you are using)

Also, if you make your posting titles more descriptive, you may get faster more numerous responses. This would be perhaps the 2,000th thread saying "need help".

upgrade both versions of itunes to the newest version, then make sure that song sharing is turned on in the itunes preferences

Thank you for the response. I have upgraded both to the newest version of iTunes.

I have macafee firewall running. I have added my mac ip address for full access. I then went to iTunes and it allowed me to share my library from my mac. I closed iTunes and went back to it later and now I can not get my library to share again.
Any thoughts?
