I have been a Windows PC user for 20+ years. Just got my first-ever Macbook Pro about a month ago. I'm still not getting used to it as I feel things are missing which I got used to on Windows over the years. I guess it will take time but I'm hoping to find some alternatives here where Google, App Store, Alternative.to failed. I believe it would be the same for Mac users if they move to Windows for some reason. It's really hard to get rid of habits and something you got used to.
I need a Video Player. I have love/hate relationship with VLC for more than a decade. Never used it much. I have used KMPlayer for many years and then PotPlayer as an alternative when KMPlayer went mad. I think both are developed by the same developers. The interface is simple. It can run any video type. It has all the options for a keyboard and MOUSE. And the best feature which I just realized after years is multiple and easy Playlists. Click on the Playlist button, it opens a separate box, create a playlist tab, add songs, create another playlist tab, and repeat. Move any song to the top. It's easy to organize, no need to drag-drop to the top when the song is on #400 in the list. VLC has one playlist, and it doesn't keep a history of the playlist, so I have to save multiple playlists and then load them each time. Many other Video players I have tried from App Store have a single playlist feature. VLC is the only solution I found so far with some missing features like multiple easy playlists and no options for Mouse like double click for pause and wheel click for full screen.
I'm also looking for a File Manager similar to XYPlorer. I have been using this for years on Windows and that sidebar tree / mini tree feature is very useful. It opens a new tab in the same location as the previously selected tab, then I can go anywhere from the tree. I don't like multiple panes, especially on this 13-inch Macbook Pro. So a single-pane file manager with a tree feature and multiple tabs would really help. I have tried Commander One, don't know how to disable dual pane, can't find the option, and I think it doesn't have a tree. I'm using finder. Any alternative or tips for Fidner would help.
A better IPTV Player with Xtream Codes option? IPTVSmarters Pro works but it's not optimized for both Windows/Mac. There are better options on Windows, can't find one for Mac so far.
Thanks and sorry for the long post.
