Hi Everyone,

I am new to Mac OS, was initially planned to buy MBP 2015 or 1026, so posted following threads.

I certainly want to buy the best configuration, was looking for 32G RAM for some intensive work.
However, Based on the latest reports that there may be MBP2016 with 32G RAM with improved Battery and Performance available in 3rd or 4th Quarter.

So, I decided to wait, but still want to explore Mac OS and looking to buy thinner or handy model like Macbook Air or Macbook.
I need your recommendation whether this approach of learning Mac is a good idea by having lower cost thinner model as standby/second laptop and MBP 2016 will be my primary laptop

So, Please share your suggestions, recommendations and which model to buy?
I am thinking of either buying used MBP 13" or New Macbook Air to spend about $700 to $900 if this considered to be worth spending on lower cost or used models.

Buying from eBay is safe? I am new to eBay, not aware of the fraudulent sellers. so need your advice. Or any other best place/way to purchase used/refurbished other than apple store.

Thanks in advance

I like the 12" because it's super low power and no moving parts ( no fans ). But it's pricy imo, but best portability and screen.

Else then go for a used or refurbished Air, which gives you some power and portability, but no retina screen.

If you just want to run MacOS and you have an existing notebook/desktop you could use Parallels or VMWare to run it virtually :)

If you plan on getting Macbook Air, I'll be selling one on Swappa. If interested
