Getting my first Mac this weekend. I already have a nice new monitor that takes either VGA or DV-I. I know I can connect the mini by way of an adaptor with either the Thunderbolt or HDMI port. But not knowing much about Thunderbolt I don't k ow what is the better option. Thoughts?

Since you're hooking up a monitor, use the HDMI because it is only intended for video. That will leave your Thunderbolt open for possible future expansion.

Thanks! HDMI it is. Just didn't know enough about Thunderbolt to know if it was better or not.
