New To Mac, xBox Controller

hi i am new to mac. this is my first macbook pro laptop. well I'm in a situation um i have a xbox console. i have the wireless controller and (USB) a wired controller. i wanna play video games such as GTA and COD but i have no idea how to find out using my controllers on my macbook pro. my os is lion 10.7.3 please help me out. yikes.
