Forgive me for having to ask without researching this more - but I just found out that someone is running a device i have under Parallels just fine - and my demo isn't! Of course, i leave town Friday morning, and will be gone all day tomorrow... and i've only had my Intel Mac a week :D

I have Boot Camp installed, and Parallels installed using that partition. I've skimmed the instructions - enough that my main app i need running under either way is working fine. BUT, i'd like to have my "toy" working too!

OK, so i have a Wishblade - which is a USB sign cutter. I installed it on the Boot Camp partition and it worked just like it should have. I tried it under Parallels and it didn't work, I removed it and reinstalled it until Parallels and it still didn't work - at the point I plug the USB cable in and Windows is supposed to discover it - nothing happens.

But like I mentioned, there is a member of my online group that was running the Beta and it's working fine for her. I'm running I believe the same version as her - Build 3168 Feb 26th.

This is the only USB thing i have to worry about - and it's not a HUGE worry, it would just be nice to NOT spend the weekend bouncing back & forth between XP & OSx the "hard way".

The other major question is - if i install an app in Boot Camp, will it work just fine in parallels? And the other way - if i install in parallels will it work in BC fine? For regular apps will it matter where it is installed since they are using the same partition for running?

thanks for any input - i really appreciate it!!

Tracey

Running Windows on a Mac with Boot Camp is just like running Windows on a PC. Your USB device will work. The only thing that bringing Parallels into this will do is complicate your activation, and provide a level of inconvenience.
