New to Steam - Game Recommendations?

Hey Guys,

I've never played any games on Steam. Probably will get the Orange Box as soon as it comes out for Mac, Torchlight. Any other suggestions for good games?

I'd rather stick to OSX while playing games. Thanks.

Civilization is awesome if you like turn-based strategy (rocking out on it before Civ2 was released); games are long, though, so be warned.
