As per the title.

I’m liking it, but could do with some advice, re advantages of having the bigger size.

Thanks in advance.

Return it for the 11" Lol (joking)

I liked it too but 30% of my use is when lying on my back at night/early morning in bed, 13" wasn't good for that.
Gee that sounds weird ;)

Better speakers and bigger video were my main advantages, even though some say not much diff.
Also better for split screen or even stage manager if you like it, v 11"
I tried both M4's

Also much brighter, oled is subjective.
If they weren't so overpriced may have kept the 13"

Multitasking and full size keyboard are the main benefits for me. Some apps benefit from the extra screen space more than others.

I was upgrading from the 11” M1 and bought both an 11” and 13” to try for a few days in real world scenarios to see which I preferred. Mainly, my upgrade was intended for reading eBooks in dark mode before bed - which I really wanted the OLED upgrade for. Other than that, I use my iPad as a notes/general browsing device when weight lifting, an entertainment screen when doing cardio on a stationary bike, and overall around the house content consumption.

I found that with the newly reduced weight of the 13”, the ergonomic advantage of the 11” isn’t what it used to be in prior generations. In almost every scenario, I found myself holding and using the iPad in the same way despite which size I went with.

With that difference minimized, imo, I found the advantage of the larger keyboard, trackpad, and screen of the 13” was well worth it. You get used to typing and navigating on the 11” for sure, but I just found it to be a much more enjoyable experience on the 13”. With the larger size, I am also much more inclined to use the iPad for web browsing and other tasks that would have felt cramped on the mac - notably multi-tasking with two split windows.

Better for split screen, external wireless display, Stage Manager, placing of reference images in app while drawing, good for apps with many UI elements

So if you don't need those, no need for 13. 11 is not a small tablet.

It’s big enough to run multiple apps in one screen, even PPT with a second app.
It’s also great for reading 8.5x11 pdfs.
Watching movies is more, erm, pleasurable (Netflix. Get y’all’s minds out of the gutter)

You can adjust the apps in split screen so that one app takes 2/3 and the other 1/3 of the space. I think you can also do this on the regular size iPads, but it makes more sense on the bigger screen.

Multitasking with either split screen or slide-over or Stage Manager. Full expansive views of webpages. Two column ebooks in Apple Books roughly comparable to a hardcover. A full size Magic Keyboard and a large canvas for notes for apple pencil (or for split screening if taking notes from a PDF)
