The Guide to "Using Windows on a Mac" has been completely revised and redone and can be seen either here or at the link at the top of the page.

It should now have answers to all beginning users' questions about using Windows on a Mac. Hopefully I will have time in the not-so-distant future to create a Parallels Desktop vs. VM Ware Fusion Guide and a Windows XP vs. Windows Vista Guide, but for right now, enjoy and feel free to comment here or edit the guide by adding pictures, links, more info, etc.

Looking good, its always nice to see work on the guides.

Question 1: Are the virtualisation RAM requirements total or the extra required for Windows? It should be made clear.

Question 2:*Boot camp preference pane: Allows users to change which is the default OS that the computer starts on boot up,
how do you do that under OS X, or can you only do that in Windows?

It's in System Preferences in OS X and Control Panel in Windows, but is essentially the same.

EDIT: IMHO the biggest problem with the guide as is stands is the unanswered FAQs. :p
