I just got the computer last week, and when I pick up the computer or tilt it, I hear a sort of clicking or ticking sound as if something is moving inside the computer. It only happens sometimes, like after hearing it, if I try to make it happen again it doesn't.

Anybody else have this happen to them or have any idea what it is?

Thanks

My 2.4 UMP from the fall does the same thing. I'm pretty sure its coming from the optical drive, but yeah if you let it sit a minute or 2 and do it again, you will indeed hear that noise again.
I haven't been inclined to do so, but maybe ask apple?

technology used in mac's to park the harddrive heads and prevent anydamage.

the click is the head being parked on the drive.

this should only happen when the notebook is moved.
