im getting an iPhone this saturday (4gig from apple.com) and i was just wondering two things, i am currently on a dialup connection (iknow, bummer) and if i download the update to the phone approx. how long will this take?

i seriously wouldnt mind if it took 2 hours. lol. ive been living with slow internet my whole life...im only 15. ha.

well if it DOES happen to take to long, could i update the phone on another computer that just happens to have cable internet with no problems as long as i turn auto. sync off?

I guess there are stupid questions! lol

It really depends on a LOT of factors with dial-up. You would be better guessing the number if holes in a block of Swiss cheese.

It is possible to just download it. You do not need the iPhone or iTunes. Find someone with high speed, download it and burn to CD. There ya go!
