New update pop up message

Hello everyone,

I'm new on this forum as also new on Ios Apple.

I would like to know why my phone is not getting the pop up alert when a ios update is ready. My phone is a Iphone 6 64gb.

I always need to go the route of checking manually. I know that in order to download the ios updates you need to have wifi on and I never have it on.. but do you need to have wifi on for the pop up info of the new update to appear also?

Generally the pop-up appears when the update has been automatically downloaded. Since that requires being connected to WiFi and being plugged into a power source (and even then it might not happen each time like that), it's not something that would happen in your case.

Brilliant... so I could be all day looking for a setting where could say turn on or off the ios update alert that I would not find it haha
