Feels like I'm on a PC or using Android software here.

If you don't like Yosemite and you think Mavericks was the best, why don't you put Mavericks back on your Mac?

try re-installing the OS if finder is laggy. it's not a universal problem with yosemite, so something may be up with your install, or your mac...
