Is it just me or are the visualizations in iTunes 2 new!?

I use this at work all the time, and even though, I still see new randomizers, but these are all totally different! Most of the ones in version 1 are basically set into 4 different quadrants on the screen while they inversely mirror eachother (not all, but most of them) but these new ones seem to be more 'free' on the screen! I like them.. I hope though that they kept some of the originals because I loved some of them as well...

It seems to run smoother too! it doesn't sk..ip.. anymore..as much at least.. (full screen mode/large/1024x768/Pismo500/640MB RAM

More new features!

AH!!! I love it! Put it in random, and when the song is over and it goes to another.. you get this cross-fade effect instead of a dead silence before the next song kicks in...

Way to go Apple, I hope this is valid indication that the iPod will do this as well! I can't wait..

The visualisations are faster and they are taking too much video ram. I have 16MB V Ram and is skiping frames. I preffer the iTunes 1 visuals.

It's not a VRAM issue, why iTunes is skipping frames. It's not storing anyting in VRAM but what you see in the window at that point. (Not for the default visualizations--there are 3D vis plugins that would require more VRAM). Perhaps iTunes 2 is more demanding on the system?
