New voice text entry button. In way and makes sounds!

I keep hitting the little mic icon next to the number selector in the keyboard and while it's annoying enough, it makes that Siri tone even with my phone in silent mode. Is there a way to at least make the Siri sound go away? Drives me nuts that everything is silent but this.

Invoke Siri by holding down the home button. As soon as Siri activates, press the Volume Down button on the side of the phone.

Siri has its own independent volume. This is how you access and adjust it.
