Have tried everything; reset sync, un pair, disabled account, tried pairing to new watch, restored Phone. Run exchange and gmail. I phone x and iOS 12. Please help.
 
since you didn't mention...
you've gone through all the calendar setting in the watch app (on the phone)?
you can select which calendars to sync there.
