New WhatsApp update

It landed today (queue macrumors not to credit this post to break the news

It's a downgrade - strange sidebar but no message info to see if the message was delivered, when it was read etc. How can they miss such a feature?

Move the mouse over a message and click on the arrow, or use the right-click, and select info.

It's the same Catalyst version that has been out for 6 months. Better than the Electron version, but still a mediocre app.

I am happy ChatMate Pro user. I really think WhatsApp should buy this company.

I deleted the beta and downloaded the regular arm64.
But it refuses the login properly.
After it says that it is downloading recent messages it just quits unexpectedly.
Did anyone have this issue? Do you have any solutions?

The info menuwasn't there on install but appeared 8h later.
Just installed on another mac and same situation - will see if WhatsApp updates, i'm sure it will like my first mac.
