I am about to change my OS to the latest Win 7 build.
I have all my iTunes purchases backed up to DVD-R . Library.xml has been copied to seperate hard drive.
iTunes folder is on the C: drive, but has been copied to seperate drive.

WHen I install new OS, and Import playlists, can I get it so that iTunes doesnt mark the playlists as "restored"?? (or similar....I did this before a few months ago).

OR

Can I copy all of the iTunes folders onto a seperate drive, install OS,install iTunes and just overwrite the new install with my old folders/files?

Thanks

the file paths are different for Mac and Windows. Don't think this is possible. You may be able to get away with the Library file, but the imports aren't going to work.

Im not using a mac. changing from one windows 7 build to another.

Probably the wrong place to ask  but I am using Apple hardware ie iPhone :D
