Just bought a 3.06 with the 1TB drive. Plan to use WinBlows for gaming and MS Office for Windoze as well (yes I know there's a Mac version too).

How much should I partition?

Firstly, I think you need to put a $ in there somewhere (M$ maybe?) to solidify your anti-Microsoft, Apple fanboy stance. Which is funny since you're installing Windows on your Mac.

Anyways.. Seriously it's all up to you. If you're a person who installs every game they own you're going to need a whole lot more space than someone who only installs a few. Personally I gave my Windows partition 150GB. That leaves me tons of room after installing a bunch of games. You might only need 25GB or you might need 1TB. This is a question that only you can answer for yourself.

id say no more than 120gb. even if you have all of the most popular steam games, then battlefield games, a few racing games, then extras (flash, browsers, adobe air, other rubbish) you arent going to take up anywhere near 100gb. but its best to be safe. i was going to say even if you had WoW, but then again thats on mac and whether you have the discs or not you can still install it on mac since you just download the blizzard installer

Gaming? Well, 80GB should suffice for gaming. Consider that once that partition is formatted you are going to be left with ~72GB. Then each games has around an average of 4GB each... and minus the 16GB of Windows itself that leaves you with enough space for around 14 games.

14 games installed good enough for you? If yes, 80GB it is:D

Ditto that. Running Vista64 here (for gaming) and I usually give it 80GB as well.

Winblows? How original. I'm surprised you didn't make that "s" an "$".

What about a 320gb Hdd in a MBP? I plan to get the complete Valve Pack. How much do I need to partition for XP to run all of these games and maybe the odd windows program.

No kidding! I'm surprised at all the Windows-lovers on an Apple board! Seriously though thank you everyone for your insight!

Windows lovers? Try open minded people that don't drink the Apple kool-aid. Some of us use both for different reasons because one can't do what the other can as well (and vis-versa).

Agreed, I just got my first Mac the other day and it's great but, having been a pc user forever, I have a lot of Windows specific apps so boot camp was what sold me on the idea of a Mac; why not have your cake and eat it, too?

BTW, I dedicated 120GB of my 640GB drive to Win XP, lots of room for games and other apps that don't play with OS X.
